We waited 2 days for a router to be turned in and still couldn't get it to work because we couldn't find out how or where to plug it in and the office was really no help. The site said that the cabin had internet access but when we called to find out how to hook up they said we needed a router which they were out of. ![]() The only problems we had were, for one the pool at the main office which we had to drive to was kind of green and had some dead bugs floating in it so we didn't swim. On the front porch was 2 rockers and a swing that was very peacefull. There was another porch with a grill and picnic table that we used several times. There was also an air hockey game that we played many times during the week and had a few tournaments going on! On the back porch was a beautiful and clean hot tub as well as a little table and chairs and a small table for little kids that we didn't use. The loft area had a futon where my boys (9 and 12) slept. The shower was a little small, but clean. The master bedroom had a king sized bed and jaccuzi with a separate bath/shower area. The cabin was decorated beautifully with a bear theme. We stayed at Nonnie's Cub Cabin in West Hidden Mountain, #8104. We just got back yesterday from a wonderful vacation in the Smokey Mountains. It sits on the top of a "hill/mountain" (it's not a huge mountain), and the views are great from any of the back porches. I would recommend this place to anyone, especially that particular cabin. Of course you don't go expecting to have conditions like you would out west, but we went two of the days we were there and had a really good time. We went up for a nice long 5 day weekend, and actually were able to do some skiing in neighboring Gatlinburg. These homes are quality, and the prices were very reasonable. There were 4 bedrooms, 4 baths, 2 screened back porches (one with jacuzzi), and a large covered front porch. It was my wife and I, and my sister and her husband, but we could have invited many more. I was surprised at the size of this house as well. Great theme, and the house was decorated (not in a gaudy way) in an angel theme. The one we stayed in was called "Angels Among Us". What's interesting is people tend to "name" their homes. The property is laid out like a neighborhood of log homes of different sizes. The place we chose in Tennessee "Hidden Mountain Resorts" was the right choice. ![]() Living in Atlanta, we have a good selection to choose from in either North Georgia, Tennessee, or North Carolina. Going to the mountains can always be a nice get-a-way. We're planning on returning next year! More Show less More recommendations under restuarants and attractions. the main drag gets very busy, especially this time of year. Use the Teaster Road "bypass" whenever you can. ![]() We enjoyed being just minutes away from all the attractions, yet far from the bustle of the very tourist orientated Pigeon Forge and the even more tourist crowded Gatlinburg area. The rental was $600/night, which was reasonable considering the size. We also shared a pool with two other cabins. You can get a lot of privacy here if you want it by utilizing the back deck which is screened, and includes quite a few rocking chairs and the Jacuzzi tub (complete privacy from your neighbors while in the hot tub). called "Nature Sings") since we had extended family with us, and we all enjoyed the stay. We stayed in one of the larger cabins (7 BR/7BA. It's excellent! Everything is extremely well maintained, and aside from a few steep hills to traverse, this resort is a great value, and away from all the bustle of Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg (although just minutes away). Just returned from a five day family trip to the Hidden Mtn Resorts.
